Resolution to grant secured for 59 units in Aylesbury

We have secured a resolution to grant permission for 59 units on the former Dayla Drinks site in Aylesbury town centre on behalf of Shanly Homes. This permission will be the conclusion to a long period of negotiating an appropriate development with the Council’s officers following a previous application and unsuccessful appeal.  The appeal, although dismissed, provided a strong blueprint for what would be deemed to be an acceptable development on the site.  By working alongside the Council we will ...

Permission for conversion of employment units in Braintree DC, Essex

We are very pleased to have secured planning permission to convert some underused employment units to residential in the village of Great Bardfield for Bedlar Holdings Limited.

This is particularly welcome as it has been a complicated and process to demonstrate that the units were no longer sustainable for employment use and to work with the architects, Clague and Studio South East, to create eight attractive homes with an innovative approach to amenity space.

Great to start the New Year with an appeal win

The Planning Inspectorate has overturned a refusal by the London Borough of Barnet for a rear extension and conversion of a property to provide three flats.  The Inspector accepted our case that the design would preserve the appearance of the Conservation Area and that an acceptable standard of living accommodation would be provided.

Social housing scheme approved by Hammersmith and Fulham

Hammersmith and Fulham resolved to grant permission for 14 affordable rented apartments and a replacement community centre at Emlyn Gardens W12. Of these, 8 will be specialist housing for people with learning difficulties, to be managed by Yarrow Housing.  The remainder will be managed by the Shepherds Bush Housing Group.

Yarrow has been supporting people with learning difficulties for over 26 years in Hammersmith and Fulham.  It has been rated as outstanding for care twice by the Care Quality Commission.

Outline Planning Permission Granted in Walton-on-Thames

We are very pleased to have successfully overturned Elmbridge Council’s refusal to grant outline planning permission for 6 new houses in Walton-on-Thames for our client Finesse Homes.   The site is currently occupied by 2 houses and despite heavy local opposition from residents and local councillors the Inspector agreed with our case on the principle of redeveloping the site, density, design, parking and amenity.
